WHO WE ARE / Venture Development
Larry Lenhart
Larry Lenhart is an Executive in Residence and works closely with entrepreneurs, research institutions and investors in Cleantech and information technology. He has 18 years of leadership experience in growing and managing technology and service-based businesses with specific expertise in software, internet services and infrastructure technology. Larry has gained a unique perspective from three key vantage points: As a seasoned CEO, as a managing partner in consulting, and as an investor.
“There is no better place to be than with an early and committed team, out to change the world at 100 miles an hour. That commitment is galvanizing,” Larry says.
"It is impossible to fail when giving up is not an option."
Prior to Mohr Davidow, Larry was the CEO for a number of technology companies resulting in successful acquisition exits and an IPO. Before his CEO experience, Larry was a managing partner at Deloitte Consulting and AT Kearny, where he provided strategic and operational expertise across the globe with his clients at EDS, AT&T, E-Trade, Novell, Federal Express, GM, Saudi Aramco, Mobil Canada, Bank of South Africa, and DuPont, among others.
“My experience working with some of the world’s largest companies has helped me tremendously with early stage start-ups. Understanding complicated market-based supply chains, early identification of operational barriers, knowing how to advise senior executives, understanding what drives key acquisition strategies, instilling financial and legal acumen early…that’s the experience that can take a company from a Series A stage to significant scale.”
