Revolutionizing Production of Biofuels, Biochemicals and Algae
Catilin is a catalyst technology company focused on the global clean technology market including biofuels, biochemicals and algae. Catilin's first commercially available catalyst for biofuels is already being used by multiple biodiesel producers allowing them to save up to 30 cents a gallon while producing high quality biodiesel with high purity glycerin co-product. Catilin's "in development catalysts" include key extraction, sequestration and conversion technologies for biochemicals and algae. Catilin received a DOE grant in January, 2010 allowing Catilin to embark on a three year $5.3 million project, along with partners Ames Laboratory and Iowa State University, as part of the $48 million DOE award. Acquired by Albemarle, May 11. 2011
